Successfully held action to clean up the banks of the Danube near Golubac

On Sunday 17 November, the Femin collective, with the support of volunteers and photographers from the Fotografa Factory, carried out an action to clean up the banks of the Danube in Golupac. The positive atmosphere and the efforts of the volunteers, noted by the photographers. There is a noticeable move from the upper marina to the end of the golubac part of the walking path to Vinici (about 2 km).

The main objective of the action was to draw the attention of local authorities to the problem of pollution of the banks of the Danube near Golupac, but also to increase awareness among citizens and the public that engagement is necessary to solve this problem. The action attracted the attention of local media, but also the interest of local housing.

From December 17, 2024, the photo contest “For the Blue Danube” will start on the instagram page @zaplavi_dunav. The application of photos for the contest will last until December 25 at midnight, after which all the photos received will be published on the aforementioned Instagram profile. On December 30, the winning post that received the most likes will be released. The winner of the contest receives a prize in the form of a Fuji Instax mini camera.

Action For a clean blue Danube is part of the initiative We Change Together, led by the Activist Center Grad from Smederevo, which brings together local formal and informal communities in a common struggle for change and a better life in the local environment.
